Using raised beds we grow organic fruit and vegetables and maintain an active community compost bin for kitchen scraps, food and other organic wastes. There is much going on with expanding our gardening effort (new plants, new food, new systems) so please send us an email if your interested in helping to plan, plant or lend a hand.
Update: In May 2013 we were selected as a recipient of the Citizens Committee of NYC composting grant program to improve and expand our compost efforts. As a result we have creating a drop off box, so folks can deliver compostable goods* any time of day or night. To ensure that the box is used properly as a compost drop it is secured with a combination lock. To be apart of our drop off program and receive the combination, just send us an email!
