This Saturday May 14th (noon – 4pm) we’re ditching the dry suits for a sunny and beautiful 2016 opening day!
Join us for a public paddle with beautiful views, nosh on stuff from the grill, and tie knots by the campfire. Visit the Ed Shed, check out the boat we’re building, and stick your hands in some dirt. Enjoy the music of our returning guest and troubadour Morgan O’Kane, who will drop in by boat and kick off his Sailing the Hudson Tour.
There’s no better time to swing by and learn about membership and our programming. Meet your old paddling pals or make new friends. Get on the water with us this summer!
Join NBBC this Spring to help out with our first complete boat build project.
All members are welcome to drop in and lend a hand, no experience required. Or just stop by come and check out what’s going on. We will be making a 14′ rowboat to replace our current aluminum skiff used for environmental projects run in conjunction with Newtown Creek Alliance and LaGuardia Community College.
We will be working on the boat April, May and June. Work schedules vary; if interested in helping please email pbeckwith (at) gmail.com. No experience needed.
