Improve your Kayak and Canoe Skills

Join trained NBCB canoe guides for trips on Newtown Creek and the East River. Pause to enjoy local wildlife and take in the views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Our priorities are safety, fun and education.

North Brooklyn Community Boathouse kayak trips are led by nationally certified kayak guides. Trips have three levels of skills: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. All boats & equipment are provided.

Official Paddler status gives members access to our fleet of kayaks and canoes for personal use, outside of scheduled events. OPs do not have to be accompanied by a Trip Leader and are allowed to have one guest.
